General Plot
The human race has been forced to survive on the desert planet Gunsmoke where bandits are numerous and two insurance girls are assigned to Vash the Stampede, a notorious outlaw who causes destruction where ever he goes. Finding their target a blond dolt who gets into trouble only because of the bounty, Meryl Stryfe and Millie Thompson accept their responsibility and find themselves trapped in a century-old feud between siblings.

| Vash the Stampede
The acclaimed outlaw worth $$20 billion, he regularly appears to be a goof but hides his true personality from everyone. He is a notorious flirt and lives an easy life of helping people out of their troubles. The outlaw uses his giant magnum gun only when necessary, and otherwise avoids violence.

The head insurance girl, she takes her job seriously and is often annoyed by Vash's antics. However, the stern woman shows her kindness through her affection for people and her tolerance for the outlaw's deeds.

| Nicholas D. Wolfwood
A priest with a mysterious past and a fast hand with a gun, he carries around a large cross and follows the insurance girls and outlaw for unknown reasons.

| Millie Thompson
The junior insurance girl, Millie appears to be slow but has the ability to discern people's feelings. Whenever her friends get into trouble, she is always there to be their moral support.

The twin brother of Vash, he holds the destruction of the human race at his fingertips and aims to destroy the humans who had wronged him.

| Legato Bluesummers
A telepath who is devoted to Knives, he uses his abilities to manipulate peoples' minds for the twisted wishes of his inhuman master.

A mentor of sorts to the young Vash and Knives, she taught love and peace to the youths. However, she could not keep the boys from knowing the evils of humans and was forced to sacrifice her life to save the colonists after Knives attempted to destroy all the SEEDS ships.
