General Plot
Hellsing is a government-sponsored organization in Great Britain run by Sir Integra Hellsing, a descendent of Abraham Van Hellsing. With the use of the vampire Alucard, her troops and she eradicate vampiric threats toward the public and country. Through a mission to exterminate a vampire in the small village of Cheddar, Alucard is forced to turn a young woman by the name of Seras Victoria into a vampire to save her. Now they both fight under the banner of the Hellsing Organization to destroy their own kind and the emerging threat of the FREAK vampires, creatures of the night artificially created by humans. The source behind the FREAK chips, a group of vampire Nazis led by Major Montana Max, threatens the safety of Great Britain as war looms.

| Alucard
The resident vampire of the Hellsing Organization and the sire of Seras, he speaks little and appears less. His past has often been alluded to through both hints and physical representations of his former vampiric life as Dracula. His weapons of choice are the massive handguns Jackal and Cassul.

A human woman turned into a vampire by the Nosferatu Alucard. Fighting against her new instincts of bloodlust and violence, she assists the Hellsing organization as well as she can with her massive Harkonnen Cannon. The nickname given to her by her sire is "Police Girl."

| Sir Integral Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing
The head of the Hellsing Organization since she was a young girl, Sir Hellsing effectively runs the family business of vampire eradication against all odds. She is most often seen packing a small pistol which she wields with accuracy.

A vampiric Nazi who stood as Alucard and Walter's enemy during World War II, he now returns to finish the blitzkreig of Britain with the help of his artificially created army of undead.

| Walter C. Dollneaz
The retainer of Sir Hellsing, he uses his razor-sharp wires of death to dismember vampires and ghouls alike with murderous efficiency. He holds past experiences with Alucard and is an invaluable asset to the Hellsing organization through his many years of service.

A hired mercenary employed by the Hellsing Organization, he commands the formidable Flying Geese group of hired killers. Seen as the "canon" pairing for Seras, he appears in the manga and OVA.
