General Plot
The anime opens with the Kowloon Children, vampires turned by the Kowloon King, destroying what remains of Hong Kong. Betrayed by Cassandra Jill Warlock, who had killed his sire Alice Eve, the protagonist of the story, Jirou Mochizuki, manages to barely defeat the King and return the island to peace. Ten years later he arrives back with the reincarnation of Alice Eve, Kotarou Mochizuki, and with the aid of Mimiko Katsuragi must stop the Kowloon Children, including Cassandra, from entering the safety of Hong Kong's barrier to revive the King's ashes.

| Jirou Mochizuki
A vampire of black blood, referring to the ancient and respected descent of his sire, who lost his love Alice Eve and now cares for her reincarnation, Kotarou Mochizuki. He carries a blade for his weapon and has a weakness against water.

| Kotarou Mochizuki
The reincarnation of Alice Eve, the sage of vampires, this little boy has yet to discover his many abilities and thus is relatively defenseless in battle. His frank manner and ability to judge peope, however, is unexcelled.

| Mimiko Katsuragi
A compromisor, those in charge of affairs between vampires and humans in Hong Kong, she becomes intangled in Jirou's battle against the rising Kowloon children and remains his faithful friend despite their differences. Kotarou and she appear to have a mysterious connection to one another, possibly because of Alice Eve.

| Alice Eve
The sire of Jirou Mochizuki and an Old Blood of vampires, she is seen only in flashbacks as Cassandra had betrayed and killed her. She was reincarnated as the youth Kotarou, but with no memories of her past life.

| Cassandra Jill Warlock
A vampire also of the Old Blood, she had become a Kowloon Child and betrayed Alice Eve and Jirou at the Children's first uprising. Now she seeks to revive the King's ashes, which are stored in the Eleventh Yard of Hong Kong.
